Help us kill Ed.
Let's Kill Ed is an app for parents and caregivers supporting a loved one through eating-disorder recovery — meal logging with AI photo analysis, weight progress, and care-team reports, with every bit of data stored in your own Google Drive, never on our servers. We're launching on Android, and we need a small group of beta testers to get there.
Heads up: the opt-in link works only after you've been approved into the group (and once the test goes live).
- Free AI meal analysis for the whole beta. Snap a photo, get food identification and calorie estimates (Gemini AI + USDA data). After launch this will be a paid monthly subscription — beta testers use it free while testing.
- Use it on your computer too. Beta testers get the web app at app.letskilled.com — sign in with the same Google account and everything syncs through your own Drive. Rolling out during the beta.
- Early access to every new feature as it ships.
- A direct line to the developers. Your feedback genuinely shapes the app — this tool is built by an ED-recovery family, for ED-recovery families.
What we ask
- Have an Android phone. (iOS comes later — Android first.)
- Join our beta group — this is how Google Play knows you're a tester: groups.google.com/g/lke-beta-testers → tap "Ask to join group." Approval also enables web-app AI access for your email — usually within a day.
- Once you're approved, opt in to the test with the same Google account: play.google.com/apps/testing/com.letskilled.app
- Install the app from Google Play and use it — real use or Demo Mode both help.
- Stay opted in for at least 14 days. Google requires a continuous 14-day test before we're allowed to launch publicly — just keeping the app installed counts.
- Tell us what you find — post in the group or email hello@letskilled.com.
No Android device? You're still welcome — join the group for web-app access and to send feedback. (Only Play-opted-in Android testers count toward our public-launch requirement, so that help is especially valuable.)
Feedback we especially want
- Signing in with Google — any hiccups?
- Meal photo analysis — how accurate are the food IDs and estimates? Was editing them easy?
- Logging, editing, and history — anything confusing?
- Progress charts and the PDF / share reports for care teams.
- Language and tone. This app must feel supportive, never diet-culture. If any wording lands wrong for a recovery context, we want to know immediately.
A note on privacy
Your data lives in your own Google Drive — we can't see it and don't want to. The beta group is members-only: only fellow testers can see posts. Share only what you're comfortable sharing; feedback about the app never needs to include details about your family's journey.
Reviews
When we launch publicly, honest Play Store reviews will help other families find the app. Reviews are never required and never tied to beta perks — if you choose to leave one after launch, just tell the truth about your experience.
